Germany Foreign Electricity Adapters and Power Converters
In Germany, electricity is generally supplied at 220 volts and uses a frequency of 50 Hz. While it is generally at the 220 volts, the official standard rate is 230 volts plus or minus 10%. To make things more interesting/challenging, a very few localities will use 110 volts, but 50 cycles is the standard frequency regardless of the where you are throughout Germany.
Therefore, if you are traveling to Germany with an electrical device that does not accept 230 Volts at 50 Hertz, you will need to buy a foreign electricity converter or adapter.
Most of the outlets in Germany come in one type, and that is two round pins. So if your appliance plug has a different shape or type of pins, you will probably need a plug power adapter as well.
